I've had this 60" wide 2 yard piece of vibrant, flow-y rayon challis in my stash for probably close to a decade and finally found a use for it: New Look 6125, a simple A-line sundress.
Haven't finished the invisible zipper on the back yet, but should have it done this week.
This is an extremely simple pattern with only two main pieces. I made a muslin with the lining sheet, made all my adjustments, and then took the muslin apart and used the pieces for the pattern. Then I sewed up the muslin pattern pieces and had my lining
The pattern called for a lining and since this is intended for hot weather, I did not want to use synthetic-only fiber fabric, like typical lining material. I found a cotton/poly blend sheet (Knoppa) at IKEA for $3.99 and it is the perfect weight for this dress!
